Freed is a charming and whimsical side-scrolling platformer that combines heartwarming storytelling, engaging gameplay, and a dash of quirky humor. Developed by Pepxel, this game takes players on an unforgettable journey to save adorable critters from being forced to eat bizarre flavors of ice cream by cunning captors. With fast-paced action, unique challenges, and a captivating world, Pepxel offers an experience that's perfect for gamers age 9+.

History:

Developed over the course of 2.5 years Freed was conceived as a passion project inspired by titles such as Atari's Food Fight, Capcom's Black Tiger, and Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. Freed was solo designed, developed, and deployed as a self-funded project.

• Heartwarming Story: Immerse yourself in the tale of brave critter-saving heroism, where players must navigate through a series of beautifully designed levels to free the critters from their captors.

• Short and Intense Levels:  Each stage is meticulously crafted for quick yet engaging gameplay sessions, making it easy to pick up and play on the go. Engage in fast-paced gameplay with 3 unique levels comprising a total of 84 stages.

• Time is Precious: You only have a limited time to complete each stage. Stay focused and swift to succeed.

• Questing: Each stage contains an exit teleporter used to progress to the next stage. Complete mini-quests to unlock them and adventure forth!

• Secrets and Achievements: Explore Freelandia thoroughly to find 31 hidden secrets and unlock 111 achievements as you progress through the game.

• Challenging Obstacles: Navigate through three distinct levels – Overworld, Caves, and Iceworld – each with its own set of unique challenges, enemies, and secrets.

• Boss Battles: Conquer epic boss battles at the end of each level, freeing droves of captive critters.

• Food-Based Combat: Collect food items throughout the levels and fling them at enemies, providing a fun and strategic element to the gameplay.

• Unlock Power-ups: Unlock power-ups to boost your starting food, food damage, and time, enhancing your chances of success. 

• Unlock Characters: Unlock new characters as you progress, enhancing replayability and allowing players to tailor their gameplay experience.

• Challenge Accepted!: Play casually to complete each stage and move on or go pro to acheve 3-star and best time status.

• Interstitial Advertisements: The game features interstitial advertisements that can be removed with an in-app purchase, providing an uninterrupted gaming experience.

• Localization: supports English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Singapore (simplified Chinese), Korean, Spanish, and Swedish.
